As an all-in-one compilation pack, Sentinel's Fate contains all five previous expansion packs and three adventure packs for EverQuest II. Together this provides for the most complete overall EverQuest II playing experience to date, and presents the next chapter of the EverQuest II legacy which will be written and rewritten by the passion of players and fueled by the hunger for adventure. EverQuest II is one of the preeminent MMO's in the PC gaming market, and as such gameplay in the Sentinel's Fate expansion pack sticks with the classic RPG elements that has made the series one of the most popular since its 2004 release. Set in the fictional world of Norrath, players create a character from a variety of races and character classes and subclasses. From there they are free to quest to their heart's delight, by themselves or more likely in the company of members of guilds that they can join or create. Success in these quests earn individual characters and their guilds rewards that can be used to aquire new in-game equipment and abilities that are crucial to leveling up characters and proceeding through the game. As with all MMO's, socialization is a major component of the game, encouraged by features such as voice chat, a mail system, global chat channels, and a global marketplace where items can be sold and/or traded. The game requires an Internet connection and a paid subscription for online play. A 30-day subscription is included with the purchase price for new accounts. This was exactly what I expected. Prompt shipping that I was very surprised about. I expected it to take a good couple weeks or so. Instead it came within a few days! Kudos to the seller. Nothing wrong with it. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase!

I have been playing this game since launch. This xpac was a nightmare before the first few patches. It has improved a lot on a 6 year old game. There is insane amount of content for your dollar every month.

EQ2 is my favorite MMORPG but this is not the best expansion for the game. Actually it is one of the worst. Came out too buggy and is in constant needs of fixes. Very small world in this expansion compares with Kunark or some of the earlier one. I got the collector's edition for the Mount which is the only reason to buy that version. If you don't care about the mount by the cheaper expansion.

We've been play EQ2 since release, and we've tried all the others hoping for a true next-gen product. There just is no game better than this one. If you haven't played in a while, give yourself a treat and try it out again. SOE has worked hard to make it a great experience and constantly upgrade and update the game so that it is never stagnant. All levels of play are considered, from solo to raiding. And the world is huge! It is less buggy and better designed in almost every aspect than any game out there, and is much more challenging than games like WoW, especially the raid content.
The SF expansion makes major changes to the game, so expect a learnign curve if you are a returning player. New players should find things less confusing than before as SOE continues to iron things out, bringing new levels of consistency and better customization of characters.
It isn't perfect, but it sure is the best available. There is nothing that can beat a challenging and vital yet mature MMORPG and this is it.
