The lamp is exactly as it appears in the picture. If you need it to illuminate a small or medium living room, it does the job. The switch might be a little hectic but that's what you should expect with most of the switches of that type. The shade might surprise you a bit since when you take it out it seems like a cheap shade. It's plastic but it works and it almost looks like a glass shade from afar. If you're looking for an inexpensive lamp for your living room with a modern design this one might be it. Since it's 150W it should illuminate a large living room, I use a 60W and it illuminates my living room perfectly. Not too bright and not dark at all.

We replaced a cheap ($40) torchiere from Target with this lamp. We were looking for a plastic lens because our kids have a tendency to knock it over. The prior lamp almost immediately bent under its own weight. It was crooked. This lamp is much more sturdy and has been reliable. It's a pretty simple lamp, but for the price, it does exactly what we were looking for.

This lamp was a good buy for the price. The lamp itself is not too sturdy but does assemble very easily and provides good light for a small room.

It's a simple, basic torch lamp. Surprisingly high-quality for the price. No frills, but I wasn't expecting any. Definitely a good value.
